REWRITE Black Women
& Women of Colour Writers
This is a new writers' meetup based in London and run by Christina Fonthes. The first creative writing taster session will be exploring a range of creative writing genres and techniques through exercises and texts.
REWRITE is for Black women and women of colour who are interested in creative writing. They host meetups, masterclasses and writing courses. There are also online courses available as well as special guest authors, publishers and literary agents.
For the taster session you will have an opportunity to ask questions, interact with other members and share your work if you are feeling brave.

REWRITE Black Women & Women of Colour Writers
Angelou Monthly Writing Workshop
Named after the phenomenal Maya Angelou. REWRITE Black Women's monthly workshops will give those attending a burst of creativity and renew a passion for writing.
Each session focuses on a set them, and as well as writing, you will discover (and re-discover) works by black women and women of colour writers. ANGELOU is ideal for beginners as no writing produced is shared.
The focus is on generating new material, tapping into your creativity, and building your writing confidence.
Price: £15 per workshop, including a hot drink and light pastry.
Advisable to bring notebook and pen. (No digital devices). Arrival time is 11 am for 11.15 start . Workshop runs until 1 pm. Booking via meetup or www.rewritelondon.com

Poetic Unity and Black Cultural Archives presents The Poets Corner
An intimate spot to enjoy poetry and spoken word performed by some of the UK's best up and coming poets.
Poetic Unity is a registered charity which serves to teach young people alternative ways of learning through poetry and provides safe and friendly environments for young people to perform and unite with their peers.
